Dr. Chan Ming Fen Grace

Dr. Chan Ming Fen Grace is an Associate Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at National University Hospital with a clinical interest in gynaecologic oncology. She is committed to integrating compassionate care with evidence-based practice in the care of women with cancer. Her clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery in gynaecologic oncology. She is passionate about leveraging advances in surgical technology to enhance surgical precision, optimise recovery, and improve patient outcomes. She also has a strong interest in Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) pathways to support holistic perioperative care. Dr. Chan Ming Fen Grace was enrolled in the research residency track, and her research focuses on cervical cancer screening and prevention, reflecting a strong interest in population health and cancer prevention strategies. In 2025, she completed a Master of Public Health at UNSW Sydney further strengthening her foundation in epidemiology and research methodology.

Dr. Alaa Metwally

Dr.Alaa Metwally is an obstetrics and gynecology physician from Makkah, Saudi Arabia, affiliated with the Makkah Health Cluster. He is currently undertaking a fellowship in gynecologic oncology and minimally invasive surgery at Yonsei University Severance Hospital under the supervision of Professor Sang Wun Kim. His clinical and academic interests focus on robotic gynecologic oncology surgery, particularly single-port robotic techniques and fluorescence-guided lymphatic surgery. Dr.Metwally is actively involved in surgical education, research, and academic presentations related to advanced minimally invasive procedures in gynecologic malignancies.

Hiroshi Ishikawa M.D.,Ph.D.

Dr. Ishikawa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Reproductive Medicine at Chiba University Graduate School of Medicine. After graduating from Kanazawa University and obtaining his PhD, he has been dedicated to clinical practice and academic research at Chiba University.
His clinical expertise focuses on minimally invasive gynecological surgery and assisted reproductive technology (ART), while his academic specialization includes reproductive endocrinology and women medicine. Dr. Ishikawa is particularly recognized for his research in elucidating the pathophysiology of uterine fibroids, a field in which he has published numerous peer-reviewed articles.In clinical practice, he possesses extensive experience in performing and supervising robotic-assisted surgeries. Currently, he serves as the Principal Investigator for clinical research evaluating the outcomes of robotic-assisted myomectomy, playing a leading role in the initiative to secure national health insurance coverage for this procedure in Japan. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Board of Directors for both the Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology (JSOG) and the Japan Society of Endoscopy and Robotics in Gynecology and Obstetrics (JSERGO).

Naofumi Higuchi, M.D.

Naofumi Higuchi, MD, is a gynecologist at the Department of Gynecology, Kurashiki Medical Center, Okayama, Japan, one of the country’s leading high-volume centers forminimally invasive gynecologic surgery. He graduated from the University of Yamanashi in 2019 and completed his junior residency and subsequent training as a Resident Physician in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Luke’s International Hospital,Tokyo, Japan.
His clinical and research interests focus on minimally invasive gynecologic surgery,particularly robotic-assisted surgery and single-port robotic surgery. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications in the field of robotic gynecologic surgery, including studies on robotic hysterectomy for severe endometriosis and single-port robotic approaches for benign gynecologic disease.
Dr. Higuchi received the ASGRS 2025 Early Career Award in both the Surgical Video Presentation and Oral Presentation categories. His current academic interests include advanced robotic surgery, surgical innovation, and the integration of novel technologies into minimally invasive gynecologic procedures.

Dr. Fong Wai Leng

Fong Wai Ieng is the President of Macau Obstetricians and Gynecologists Association and Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Hospital Centre S. Januario, Macau. She has learned Gynecologic Oncology at Portuguese Oncology Institute and has studied Reproductive Endocrine at Lisbon Maternity Hospital and Queen Mary Hospital, HK. Her main fields of activity are reproductive medicine, gynecological endoscopy and gynecological endocrinology. She is a board member of Asia Pacific Association of Gynecologic Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy (APAGE) and also an advisory in Journal of Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Therapy (GMIT). She also is the Deputy Editor of American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology (Chinese Version). She is actively participating in many societies and organizations. She specializes in obstetrics and gynecology and was awarded the Endos Award in Medical Science and technology for her achievement in endoscopic surgery in 2009 and 2011. She has published many articles in local and international journals and has been an invited speaker at numerous scientific conferences.

Dr.Yoichi Aoki

Dr. Yoichi Aoki is a gynecologic oncologist and minimally invasive surgeon at the Cancer Institute Hospital of JFCR in Tokyo, Japan, where he currently serves as
Director in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology. He is also an advisor for robotic surgery at Hanyu General Hospital, Tokushu-Kai Group.
Dr. Aoki has extensive experience in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, having performed more than 2,000 laparoscopic surgeries and over 400 robotic surgeries.His expertise includes robotic and laparoscopic hysterectomy, gynecologic oncology,sentinel lymph node mapping, and advanced robotic surgical techniques using the da Vinci Xi and da Vinci SP systems. He is certified by the Japan Society of RoboticSurgery with Domestic Rank A certification and is a certified proctor for the da Vinci Xi system as well as the first certified instructor for the da Vinci SP system in gynecology in Japan.In addition to his clinical and research activities, Dr. Aoki serves as an Editorial Board Member of BMC Surgery and the European Journal of Gynaecological Oncology. He also actively participates in international robotic surgery education programs (AGRO programs) through the ASGRS.

Mariko Ota, MD

Mariko Ota, MD, is an obstetrician and gynecologist at Hanyu General Hospital in Saitama, Japan. She is currently training in gynecologic oncology and robotic-assisted gynecologic surgery at a hospital affiliated with the ARGO Program of ASGRS, with a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery.
Her clinical interests include robotic-assisted hysterectomy, laparoscopic surgery, and surgical treatment for gynecologic diseases. She has presented clinical research on robotic surgery and minimally invasive gynecology at academic meetings in Japan and internationally.
Dr. Ota continues to pursue clinical training and research in the fields of gynecologic oncology and robotic surgery.

Dr. Michiko Kaneda

Dr. Michiko Kaneda, MD, PhD, is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mie University Hospital, Mie, Japan. She specializes in gynecologic oncology and has extensive expertise in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery,particularly laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery. Her clinical and research interests focus on gynecologic malignancies, minimally invasive surgery, and hereditary gynecologic cancer and clinical genetics.
Dr. Kaneda graduated from Mie University School of Medicine in 2010 and obtained her PhD in Medicine from Mie University in 2019.She is board-certified in gynecologic oncology, obstetrics and gynecology, clinical genetics,endoscopic surgery, and robotic surgery in Japan.

Dr. San-Nung Chen, M.D.

Dr. San-Nung Chen is Head of the Division of Gynecology and an attending physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan. He is also a Ministry of Education–appointed Assistant Professor, with clinical expertise in gynecologic oncology, minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, and urogynecology.
Dr. Chen has devoted his career to advancing precision surgery for women’s health, particularly in complex gynecologic oncology, advanced laparoscopic surgery, single-port surgery, pelvic reconstruction, and robotic-assisted procedures. He is actively involved in multidisciplinary gynecologic cancer care, surgical education, and the integration of innovative technologies to improve surgical safety, functional outcomes, and patient-centered recovery. At the ASGRS–TSGRS 2026 Annual Meeting, Dr. Chen will deliver the lecture “Robotic Uterine Transposition for Fertility Preservation” in the session “Robotic Pelvic Reconstruction, Endometriosis and Infertility.” Through this lecture, he will share clinical insights into fertility-preserving strategies and the evolving role of robotic surgery in complex pelvic procedures.
